What is a Google alert?
Definition: Google Alerts are a free notification service provided by Google that emails subscribers the search activity around search terms, in your case you company, service or brand.

This is how we provide you with up to the minute details of new features, placements, expanded reach and search engine listings.

To set up Google Alerts, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Google Alerts (https://www.google.com/alerts)
  2. Log in to your Google account
  3. In the “Create an alert about” field, type in the keyword or phrase you want to be alerted about
  4. Select the type of results you want to see (e.g., Everything, News, etc.)
  5. Choose the frequency of the alerts (as-it-happens, once a day, etc.)
  6. Decide the email address where you want to receive the alerts
  7. Click the “Create Alert” button

Your Google Alerts are now set up, and you will receive notifications according to the frequency you specified.
